It's Sad

A sneaky, devious man

A trickster in disguise

Really suckered me

With some whopping lies

He spun a web of B.S.

And made me his dupe

You'd never think

Such a person

To such depths

Would stoop

It just goes to show

That, in advance

You never really can know

If someone who

Appears successful

Has achieved that

By being low

His happiness

And the robust health

Of his ego

Seem contingent

On duplicity and

Making other people

Feel bad

There are many ways

That I could describe this

But, to be charitable

I'll just say, 'It's sad'
