ROBERTO PIVA
Roberto Piva (1937 – 2010, Sao Paulo) was a Brazilian writer and poet, an outlaw stray cat raised in the urban jungle of Sao Paulo among hipsters, hustlers and queers, and whose poems are real verbal assaults against all kinds of established models of Consciousness, richly dialoguing with other depraved spawns from Romanticism, Surrealism and Beat Poetry. Self-proclaimed Shaman, Piva is the author of Paranoia, Ciclones, among others books, all written in Brazilian Portuguese.
...we are perfectly schizophrenic, for even our paranoia teaches us to draw away our three-striped and rancid bandage, whose representatives are the poetry embroiderers strewn all over the city.
